Downtown!

I went to downtown Portland to spend some time with this beautiful senior! She chose such different outfits and we were able to capture various sides to her personality. I especially loved the black leather jacket with the frilly purple dress! It was so "urban"! The black and white outfit looked wonderful against my favorite red wall! She was so much fun to work with! I could get her to smile and then go to my favorite dramatic looks! For those of you who know me, I tend to get a little carried away with the drama! You have to remind me to let you smile once in a while! This senior's mom came along and she was delightful. She told me that when her husband saw his daughter in all of these outfits, he wondered where his little girl had gone! She is definitely beautiful all grown up!

Jewel Tones

This senior brought the kind of colors I love to photograph! Those bright jewel tones just pop right off the page. We were at McMenimins in Edgefield and had way too much fun. She had the most gorgeous long silky hair! We went all over the place and were able to capture many different looks for her. There is a garden where they have these tiny wooden seats and a table. It looks like a place where little gnomes or fairies would meet for lunch. I love the photo of her sitting backward on the chair with her legs draped over the it! It reminds me of "Alice in Wonderland". The photo of her laying on her back on the stairs is another favorite. Actually, I can't choose a favorite image, so "P" I hope you can! Good luck choosing!

Poet in the Park

This was a senior with a plan! She had some definite ideas of the kinds of photos for which she was looking. She had a list and we put our heads together to create some amazing images! The jade green top in the first photos made her skin glow! Then she donned a beautiful gold vest and a poet's blouse. She is a writer and wanted some images depicting her this way. She had an old-fashioned pen and leather book to complete the look. I have this gold chair on my porch and when she came for her consultation, she said she loved it, so I brought it along! We ended with her period hat and pocket watch. Her outfits were unique and delightful.

Well, "M", when we get together, we can create some incredible things! I hope you like these!

Playing Soccer on a Broken Leg!

This senior is a avid soccer player. He broke his leg this summer and is waiting impatiently for it to heal. He wanted some photos of himself playing soccer, so he had his friend come with him to get these great shots. I'm sure his leg was killing him! I really enjoyed working with him. He could pull off the "serious-GQ-look" as well as having a great smile! I love the ones with him by his car in his sunglasses. Bond, James Bond....

Here you go, "T"! I hope you like these!

Red Mustang!

This senior was a lot of fun! He definitely had a sweet ride in that red Mustang! Life can't get much better! He had such an easy manner and was incredibly easy to get to laugh! I love the shots of him in front of the pond looking at the ducks! I got a little artistic with sun glare and shadows. I love the colors of these images! Everything just pops! Hey "N", I hope you like these! You are sure looking great!

A Ballerina's Secret

I have known this senior since she was a little girl and was taking ballet lessons with my daughter! She has been dancing pretty much her entire life and is very accomplished. She told me that most of the people in her high school have no idea she even dances. She said they all think she is kind of clumsy! I can tell you, there is nothing clumsy about this graceful beautiful girl! I love the photos of her incredible pink tutu with her jeans! The contrast of the jeans with the tutu fits her personality. I saw the bridge and asked if she could do something like a ballet bar, but realized that it was too high. She promptly climbed up on top of the bridge and we got some funky and fun photos of her! So, I guess the secret's out now "L". Everyone reading this will know that you secretly don the costume of the ballet theatre and dance in front of audiences! She changed into her green prom dress and I love the artistic poses and locations of those photos. I think we were able to capture many sides to her personality. She is in Germany for the next month, but I hope she can check her e-mail to see these great photos!.

Dancing to China!

This senior was days away from going to China to dance with her High School Dance Group for the Olympics! What a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! She was very excited. I told her to send me some pictures of her way over there. We had a wonderful time in Pinebrook Gardens. She had this electric blue top and a pink sweater which just pop! She definitely was more comfortable smiling, but I snuck in a few serious shots! She has such beautiful brown eyes. I got a little artistic when she put on her dance clothes. Her calf muscles are rock hard! When she leapt for me, I had to include the entire space below her in the photos to show how high she was getting! I hope you are having fun in China "K"!
