This beautiful senior is the daughter of one of my dearest college friends. Her mother and I planned to take the world by storm way back in the day! I can't believe it's been over 20 years since I was in college! Wow I am so old!
As you can see from these photos, this senior didn't know how to take a bad picture. She has the most beautiful brown eyes. We played in downtown Portland. It was overcast, so we could go anywhere. It usually takes a little while for my seniors to relax and enjoy themselves, but she was into the groove by the first photo. In fact, she chose the first photo for her yearbook. I loved her red sweater and ripped jeans. I had her laying on wet grass, posing by a smelly bathroom, and finally laying in a doorway with her legs straight up in the air. I don't think any senior has this shot of themselves with their flute! I am always trying to come up with new and unique ways of posing everyone with their instruments. I love all of them.
We then headed to the Academy Building in downtown Vancouver. I love her brown sweater next to the green leaves. She had brought a wonderful bright orange purse with her, so I made her pose with it. While we were there, the sun decided to peek out in the west and we were able to capture some fantastic shots of her next to the building with her dark shadow behind her. I really like the warm mood to these photos. I even took a photo of her shadow on the wall. Way too much fun. It reminds me of Peter Pan! She brought a bunch of classic books and I was able to capture her reading them.
At last, we headed to the studio. I love the dramatic lighting I am able to achieve there. Her turquoise sweater with the brown backdrop looks stunning. I have a leather rug I had her lay on and I love its color and texture. Then I broke out the white backdrop and we took some high-key photos of her in her pink sweater. I grabbed some pearls and draped them around her shoulder. This video wasn't able to include all of the photos, but I love every one of them.
So "T", I hope you love these as much as I do!
